UK Mental Fitness CIC continues to build stronger communities through new partnerships and wellbeing programmes!

This week has been another significant milestone for UK Mental Fitness CIC as we continue to strengthen partnerships across Plymouth, delivering preventative wellbeing support to people of all ages.

Yesterday marked the beginning of our new partnership with Plymouth Community Homes, with the launch of seated exercise sessions for residents aged 55 and over. The sessions are designed to improve mobility, physical health, confidence and social connection, helping older adults remain active and independent while reducing loneliness.

Alongside this, UK Mental Fitness CIC Director Stefan Piotrowski delivered an engaging educational workshop to 25 young people aged 13–15, focusing on toxic masculinity, respect, healthy relationships and the importance of treating women with dignity and equality. The session encouraged honest discussion, challenged harmful stereotypes and empowered young people to make positive choices.

The organisation continues its busy programme today by delivering its popular SEND Music Therapy sessions, providing a safe and supportive environment where young people with additional needs can improve communication, confidence, emotional wellbeing and social interaction through music.

The week also highlights the growing partnership with Devon Mind, who now deliver their weekly Tuesday afternoon drop-in service from our wellbeing hub, alongside a programme of wellbeing workshops that provide local residents with accessible mental health support, advice and practical tools to improve wellbeing.

Trevor Higgins, Director of UK Mental Fitness CIC, said:

"Our vision is simple – to build stronger, healthier communities by working alongside trusted partners to provide accessible support before people reach crisis point. Whether we're helping older adults stay active, educating young people, supporting individuals with additional needs through music, or providing safe spaces for people to access mental health support, every partnership strengthens our mission of creating healthier communities together."

UK Mental Fitness CIC believes that no single organisation can meet every need alone. By working collaboratively with organisations such as Plymouth Community Homes and Devon Mind, we are creating clear community pathways into wellbeing support, reducing isolation and helping people live healthier, happier lives.

As our programme continues to grow, we remain committed to delivering inclusive, preventative and community-led services that make a lasting difference across Plymouth.
